Prof. Dr. Stjepan Gadžo is a Croatian legal scholar specializing in international tax law, tax jurisdiction, cross-border taxation, and the taxation of multinational business activities. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Financial Law, Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka, and serves as Vice-Dean for International Affairs. 

His work focuses on helping international clients assess the Croatian tax implications of relocation, including tax residency determination, double taxation treaties, foreign-source income, pensions, dividends, investment income, and income generated through foreign companies. He advises on the interaction between Croatian domestic tax rules and the tax laws of other jurisdictions, helping clients understand potential tax exposure and structure their affairs in a compliant and practical manner.

Stjepan has experience advising clients with complex international circumstances, including foreign bank accounts and assets, overseas business activities, property and pension income, cross-border transfers, and personal or family ties spanning multiple countries. His work involves reviewing the relevant domestic legislation and double tax treaties to assess residency, taxing rights, reporting obligations, and potential double-taxation risks.

Dr. Gadžo holds a Doctor of Law from the University of Zagreb.
