Supporting expansion across the EU
We helped a Croatian organic skincare brand to expand to other countries, by reviewing the deal, supporting negotiations and guiding the entrepreneur in making strategic business decisions.
As a young entrepreneur it is challenging to organize international expansions. Šime and his team supported us with our first negotiations to expand across the EU. His expertise with distribution contracts and complex international negotiations was a great asset for us

Fighting predatory practices in the start up space
We helped a young entrepreneur to re-negotiate a patent application fee with a patent attorney. The fee was predatory priced as it charged the entrepreneur the market rate for full service research, preparation and filing, but did not cover basic state of the art research.
I built an innovative mechanism for Wi-Fi lockers that are able to work on remote locations like beaches. The expert support from dr. Jozipović was essential in protecting me from predatory business practices especially concerning the patent protection process and during negotiations with investors.

We provided regulatory clarity for an innovative Croatian food brand
A local startup team wanted to create a healthy alternative to frozen vegan dishes but had issues with registering their product due to the innovative processing they used. We provided them with a detailed report and step-by-step guide to get market ready.
Šime and his team were life savers. We were drowning in bureaucracy and at the brink of giving up. After they provided us with their report, we had clarity for the first time and knew exactly how to proceed. If it wasn’t for them, I don’t think we would have been able to change our process in time to get market approval in Croatia.

As the EU’s youngest member with a fast-growing tech ecosystem, Croatia needs entrepreneurs ready to take risks and introduce new ideas. Yet innovation often brings legal, regulatory, and tax challenges — from IP protection to partner and third-party arrangements.
My experience working with entrepreneurial incubators such as the Split Student Entrepreneurial Incubator (SPI), the Harvard Innovation Lab, and national innovation agencies has given me a strong understanding of startup needs. I aim to be a reliable legal partner on the journey of building a successful business.
Understanding that young founders often lack access to legal support, I provide free assistance to entrepreneurs involved in SPI and the Dalmatia Region’s Digitalna Dalmacija project. Interested founders can request help through these programs on their websites or LinkedIn pages.
For entrepreneurs outside these programs, I offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation. I am happy to sign an NDA and provide guidance on IP protection, partner agreements, and key measures to secure your project.
At Mandracchio, we believe in supporting early-stage founders, which is why these initial services are always free. For continued collaboration, we can explore alternative compensation structures that match startup resources. Feel free to reach out to schedule a meeting or online consultation!
