Creating a Croatian special-purpose vehicle for non-EU citizens
A group of private investors acquired a large Adriatic land parcel for phased development and resale. We supported all key steps: forming a Croatian SPV reflecting each investor’s share, conducting due diligence, structuring cross-border investment and escrow mechanics, and coordinating tax planning and KYC/AML for non-EU shareholders.
We had a strict timeframe to realize on a land contract option. Our partners outside the EU were interested to fund part of the project, but had concerns about the time AML compliance would take. Managing a Complex Construction Dispute for a Foreign Retiree
We supported a foreign client whose newly built villa near Split had major construction defects. We coordinated the dispute with local lawyers and construction experts, arranged temporary housing, and supervised repairs to ensure progress. This holistic support kept the client secure while the case advanced toward resolution.
When I hired a Croatian construction company to build my house on the hills above split, i didn’t realize how closely I would have to watch the construction process. There have been a ton of small issues, but the worst part was that the construction company was cutting corners when building the foundation on a sloped parcel. This caused huge structural issues later. After I saw that things would not move forward, I hired mandracchio. They saved me, coordinated experts and lawyers and helped me get through this. In the end it took us some time, but at least I got my money back and was able to save the house
